Movies At Crest Theatre tickets & upcoming events

If you're into movies with a side of history and character, the Crest Theatre in Sacramento is a hidden gem worth checking out. This place isn’t just your average cinema; it’s a beautifully restored landmark that’s been around since 1912, with its original facade still shining bright. These days, it’s home to the Sacramento Music Film Festival, which is pretty much a must-see for anyone who loves films mixed with killer soundtracks. The acoustics are seriously impressive, every note and whisper feels crystal clear, thanks to the theater’s upgrade for modern sound tech. The inside has been given a fresh facelift while still keeping that vintage charm, complete with a cozy first mezzanine row that gently angles for a better view. And if you’re worried about accessibility, no sweat, they’ve got hard of hearing seating with assistive devices. Getting there? Just head south on 10th Street and you’ll find it right in front of you. The lineup’s got a cool mix of indie flicks and vintage classics, making each visit a little adventure. Honestly, I love how the Crest keeps blending Sacramento’s past with today’s entertainment scene, it’s like watching history come alive through film.
